English Grain Aphid, Sitobion avenaeHosts: English grain aphid is not an economically important pest of winter wheat in Oklahoma. It is a vector of barley yellow dwarf virus.Symptoms: English grain aphid is more common late in the growing season, and prefers to feed on the awns and wheat heads. Description: Bright green with long legs and cornicles, which give it a spidery appearance. Measures 1/8 inch when mature. Both the legs and cornicles are black.
